January 2018 Newsletter

"Animals are the bridge between us and the beauty of all that is natural. They show us what's missing in our lives, and how to love ourselves more completely and unconditionally. They connect us back to who we are, and to the purpose of why we're here." ― Trisha McCagh

Hello from Montana!

January has certainly arrived with a bang up here in the North Country.  Wow, so much snow and so cold. But it’s a small price to pay for living where we do.  So, Happy New Year to all of you from our snowy cold headquarters.  I hope you all had a delightful holiday season.

Did you know that for the Chinese, 2018 is the year of the dog?  For us here at GPH, every year is the year of the dog, but now it’s REALLY big.  We have so many great plans to keep as many happy and healthy as we possibly can, this year and all the years following.  We owe our growth to you all, because you were looking outside the normal “box” for the answers to your pet’s healthy lifestyle.

We have a surprise new product coming out this month, and we’ll shout it from the rooftops in February.  Be sure to add us to your contact list so you can get all the news and specials we offer throughout the month.  We often times will just come up with some random sale that you’ll only know about if you get our emails.

January is National Train your Dog Month, as well as Walk Your Pet Month.  January 24th is Change a Pet’s Life Day… how cool is that?

We have a wonderful Customer Testimonial from Callye  from Alaska. Callye shared with us what a difference Inflapotion has made for her sweet dog Gia. We never tire of hearing how Inflapotion has helped cats, dogs and horses around the globe live an active life without having to take harmful pharmaceuticals which can compromise their longevity.

In the Retailer Spotlight, we are elated to introduce you to Brookside Barkery Bath in Kansas City, MO.  They recently opened a second location in Lee’s Summit, MO. Owner Delena Stout and her Barkery Bath team's mission  is “Better Health through Better Nutrition” and their goals are to provide the most up-to-date holistic health information to our patrons with the best customer service possible.

Let's join together in 2018  to celebrate our pets as much as we can this year — after all, they love us unconditionally and ask for nothing in return.  Thank you again  for giving Glacier Peak Holistics the opportunity to help your pets live the quality of life they deserve.

Chow for now,

Debe, Ellia and Krieger

Customer Testimonial

Meet Gia ~
Gia's mom Callye shared with us how Inflapotion
is helping Gia live a happy active life.
Thank you Callye for sharing Gia's story.

Gia is a 7 yr old dachshund mix that started showing early symptoms of IVDD in the fall of 2015. We had one day noticed her panting and refusing to stand. Once we got her up for a walk, we saw that her hind legs were buckling. Because of the possibility of nerve damage, the vet put her on bed rest for two months. She didn’t have another episode until summer of 2016, at which point the vet recommended acupuncture. Gia was going every week, sometimes every other week, to keep her symptoms subdued. We were overwhelmed by the expense of her routine visits, and the possibility of her taking prescription anti inflammatory meds for the rest of her life.

We stumbled across a webpage that recommended GPH Inflapotion for dogs with IVDD. We instantly decided we had nothing to lose and got Gia on it right away. She's been taking it with her food for the past year or so. Her last acupuncture visit was January of 2017, and she hasn't had an episode since! We are so thankful to have found an all-natural remedy for our little Gia and are relieved she is relatively pain-free and able to play as she pleases! Thank you!

Brookside Barkery Customer  Hailee Bland-Walsh

Why did you open up an Independent Pet Store?  Is it something you always wanted to do?

We opened our store because of our St. Bernard, Aspen.  She had hip dysplasia and irritable bowel. I wasn’t finding any relief from veterinarians and started to look at options. Therefore, the Barkery was born 15 years ago. Since then, we have evolved to create an awareness to nutrition and maintaining a healthy pet through their different life stages.

What do you feel is unique about your store?

Our staff makes us unique.  We take nutrition very seriously and are committed to “Doing What’s Best for Your Best Friend." Also, by having the ability to offer the Stress Scan, this has made our jobs easier by giving the pet owner a road map to come up with solutions.

What seems to be the main concerns of the pet parents that walk into your store?

Itchy dogs, ear infections, emotional issues along with other dietary concerns.  With cats, it’s not eating, diabetes, weight control.

Do you have a success story to share about how the GPH Pet Wellness Life Stress Scan and/ or products have helped a dog or cat get back into balance?

My dog Lotus had severe skin issues, I couldn’t figure out why since she was on a raw diet, I didn’t vaccinate and she continued to roll in dirt to help with the itchiness. After meeting Glacier Peaks at AHVMA in 2016, we were fortunate to have them available to sell in our stores.  After getting the results back for Lotus, I realized I was feeding her the wrong protein.  Today, she continues on the Daily Defense and maintain a regimen on Peak Immune and Glacier Peak Gold.

Also, my granddog contracted kennel cough from the shelter after being picked up from getting out of his backyard.  I treated him with Xtremebiotic, Peak Immune and he recovered within a week.

Do you have a Holistic Vet that you refer people to if needed?

Yes, we work with Mariposa Veterinary Wellness Center who sponsors us at AHVMA.

Do you work with any local animal charities?

We work with several Rescue groups around the city, we just had a large fund raiser for an inner city rescue called Chain of Hope, we were able to donate around 8,000 lbs. of pet food to help relieve the pressure off of families who were struggling to feed their pets. We also host adoptions every Saturday for different rescue groups. Among other events throughout the year.

What are your plans for the future?

We are planning on expanding our supplement lines in both locations along with a quiet consult room where we can discuss the results of the scan. We will continue educating our staff about Glacier Peak.
