High Potency Digestive Enzymes For Dogs and Cats

Paw-Gest Digestive Enzymes for Dogs & Cats is specially formulated to address the specific needs of our furry friends. These enzymes aid in digestion, assimilation, and absorption, while unlocking potential energy from food; by properly putting them into a form easily recognizable by the body. These digestive enzymes for dogs & cats, also reduces digestive distress such as dog diarrhea, gas, vomiting, and cat hair balls as well as discouraging the overgrowth of intestinal yeast infections in dogs and cats.

How To Use Paw-Gest Digestive Enzymes For Dogs and Cats?

If you feed kibble, moisten with a bit of water or broth, add the powdered enzymes and stir. If you feed the product with canned food, just add the powder to wet food and stir.  Do Not Feed Dry (because we wouldn't want your pet to inhale the powder. Moisten slightly.) If your pet is:

  • Up to 20lbs   = 1/8 tsp
  • 21lbs - 50lbs =1/4 tsp
  • 51lbs - 75lbs =1/2 tsp
  • Over 75lbs     = 3/4 tsp
  • For Raw or lightly cooked diets, these doses can be cut in half per feeding

Please keep in mind that every pet is different! When it comes to introducing new foods and/or supplements, some pets may benefit from a slow introduction. Starting with 1/4 - 1/2 of the recommended dose and working your way up to the full recommended dose can help! And don't forget, supplements are designed to be used supplementary and intermittently, meaning, at some point the pet needs a rest!

Digestive enzymes are beneficial when feeding kibble or foods with starchy root vegetables due to the absence of the digestive enzyme amylase in the carnivore diet.  The lack of Amylase can set the stage for yeast overgrowth in the intestinal system causing chronic ear and skin issues. Paw-Gest digestive enzymes for dogs and cats is designed to retain its potency for up to 2 years when the jar is kept tightly closed and stored in a cool, dry, dark place. This product is also available in 2oz and 5 oz sizes:

  • 2oz size = Approximately 80, 1/4 tsp servings
  • 5oz size = Approximately 200, 1/4 tsp servings

Here are some feeding tips that are beneficial for pet owners.

What is Paw-Gest Made up of?

Paw-Gest contains a proprietary blend of Protease, Acid Protease, Amylase, Cellulase, Hemicellulase, Glucoamylase, Lipase, Invertase, Maltase, Alpha-Galactosidase and Lactase in a base of organic maltodextrin.

Enzymes and probiotic

I feed my dog twice a day. Do I give this twice a day or just in one meal?

Hey Beth, We greatly appreciate your 5-star rating. If your dog is having issues, you may give them Paw-Gest with each meal, so twice daily would be ideal! You may give it once daily, though, if you are giving it for routine maintenance.

The help my dog needed

Our young dog had huge issues with smelly itchy skin. Other products helped a little, but never enough. We notice a huge difference now, no stinky dog, not near the scratching and her hair is growing back! Paw-gest is a great addition to the 100% raw diet we now feed! Thank you!

Hi Linda, this is so great to hear! We love that PawGest has made such a wonderful change in your dogs smelly, itchy skin. It is amazing what good food and great supplements can do for our pets health.

The miracle I was looking for

I couldn’t be happier my 1 1/2 yr old lab has had 2 bouts of giardia and the antibiotics destroyed his healthy gut bacteria so his poop was consistently very loose. After the first day he has had normal firm stools.

Hi Gina, it makes us so happy to hear your lab is feeling better with the help of PawGest Digestive Enzymes. We appreciate your support.

I'm a Believer!

My poor Basset Hound has so many ailments, along with a couple bouts with Giardia. His poops got to where I could no longer pick it up. So, after having a round of antibiotics with only little improvement, I tried this product. He poop is firming up nicely and it works quickly as I saw improvement after about 3 doses. I will not be without this product for my boy, as it is having a good effect for him.

Hi Michelle, thank you again for another great review! We are so happy to hear your Basset Hound is starting to have normal bowel movements thanks to Paw-Gest Enzymes!

Excellent product, relieves allergy & inflammation symptoms

I purchased this product and startled giving it alongside probiotics to my pup who’s highly allergic. His allergy symptoms were severe: red and swollen paws, discharge coming from his eyes. Just giving probiotics didn’t make any visible difference. Adding Paw-gest made a difference. The swelling went away. The paws are still pink but at least my pup is not compulsively licking his paws. We also ordered the Life Stress Test to find out specifically what’s causing the allergy however it takes about 5 weeks from the date of purchase to receive the results so Paw-gets is a great help in this interim time while we’re waiting for the results. I would highly recommend Paw-gest. I’m giving it to my other pup who’s not as much allergic but has sensitive tummy and he hasn’t had any digestive issues since we started on Paw-gest (and Probiotics). My pups are about 7 lbs. each so Pawgest jar will last us a pretty long time. Again, give it a try. It’s a gentle yet powerful product that in our case helps with symptoms with allergies, internal inflammation and sensitive tummy.
