International Shipments FAQ

Notice Regarding Tariffs on U.S. Goods

We're aware that several countries have either increased or instituted tariffs on U.S. goods in recent months. This situation continues to evolve, and we recommend that you consult the appropriate resource for your nation's current tariff rates.

Canadian Customers:

We are currently managing two significant issues that impact our Canadian customers:
  • Shipping & Returns (Canada Post Strike)
    • New Orders: We have temporarily suspended shipping the Pet Intolerance Test to Canada.
    • Returning Samples: If you already have a test kit, we recommend using Canada Post for your return shipment, as instructed on this page.
    • Alternative Carriers: We have had difficulty receiving samples from Canada when sent using FedEx, UPS, or DHL.  We do NOT recommend using Fedex, UPS or DHL, as there is a high probability your sample will not be delivered to us.  Purolator may be an option, but we have not yet been able to confirm this, and the service is costly.  Even with potential delays, we strongly recommend that you return your samples using Canada Post.

  • Cost of Receiving Your Test (New Tariff)
    • As of August 1, 2025, a 25% tariff applies to shipments of our product from the U.S.
    • This is in addition to standard taxes and customs processing fees.
    • We advise you to expect potential total fees of $80+ CAD to receive your package. Exact costs vary by province, and we cannot provide specific estimates.
We are monitoring both situations closely, and we thank you for your understanding.

Q: Do I have to pay shipping to return my samples for the Pet Intolerance Test?
Yes, unfortunately we are not able to provide a prepaid mailer for tests sent outside of the U.S. We recommend using your countries postal carrier to return samples. Using FedEx is an alternative, but may be costly. We do NOT recommend using UPS or DHL at this time, as there is a high chance that package will be returned to you.

Q: Do I have to fill out the Pet Health Certificate when returning my Pet Intolerance Test samples?
No, the Pet Health Certificate is not required, but we strongly recommend including it with your pet’s samples. This document helps verify your pet’s health and can prevent delays if Customs inspects the shipment. While optional, it’s a helpful step to ensure smooth delivery! To complete the certificate, simply provide:

  • Your veterinarian’s name and clinic address
  • Your signature
  • The current date

Q: I live in Canada. How should I return my samples?

  1. Download the Zonos Prepay App: As of August 29, 2025, you must prepay any applicable duties before going to Canada Post. To do this, you will need to download the free Zonos Prepay app (available on Google Play and the Apple App Store) or use their website at app.zonosprepay.com. Canada Post cannot accept your shipment without the Declaration ID you get from this app.

  2. Scan the Sample BAG, Not the Box: When using the Zonos app to declare your shipment, please ensure you take a photo of the small biological sample bag inside your kit. Do not take a photo of the larger shipping box, it will increase the duty fees to match the price of the entire Pet Intolerance Test. The contents of the sample bag are what must be declared for customs.

·       Important Declaration: When stating the contents, we recommend declaring them as "Exempt Animal Specimens."This accurately describes that the samples are from an animal being transported for routine testing and are not for the diagnosis of infectious diseases. Using this description helps ensure correct customs processing.

  1. Pay the Fee & Get Your ID: The app will calculate any duties and taxes based on the photo taken. Once paid, you will receive a Declaration ID. Have this ID ready when you go to Canada Post. The estimated duty fee for the return shipment is $0.25 CAD.

  2. Complete Customs Forms Online: Save time at the post office by completing your customs declaration digitally at canadapost.ca/customs or in the Canada Post app beforehand. You will need the Declaration ID from Zonos to complete this.

  3. Ship via Canada Post: We currently recommend returning your sample using Canada Post, as they have partnered with Zonos and have the clearest process in place to navigate these new US entry requirements. Ship to: Glacier Peak Holistics | P.O. Box 6765 | Round Rock, TX 78683 | USA
